Boring

So yeah I havent posted in a while, but, Im starting to lose faith in this game. The new event was not what i thought it was.. in stead of reinstating the best summerfest event ever, they made the worst. You follow around and /emote at the se two acrtors for 20 fucking minutes.. and all you get is furniture. whatever. Also, campaign is still a little didgy once you have everything you were after, though it is better for exp now. Iva stopped posting in this blog as often as well because Im making my other blog a sort of full-time investment. Been having fun with it, this one, not so much.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Mog Bonanza needs to hurry up, I wanna know if I lost already so I can rid myself of those damned marbles. Seriously, they're taking up 30 slots i could be using for gear.

Summerfest is coming soon~! I'm really excited because I think it's the one where you pair up with someone and a moogle warps you to one of the high-level dungeons all sneaked/invis'd and you have to find the rendezvous point. This was by far my favorite of all the summer celebrations thus far. Not to mention Goldfishing... I fucking love goldfishing.

B L A C K M A G E ! I'm really moving along fast on him now. I get upwards of 12k exp in campaign a day. Thank God they fixed it. I'm excited about getting it to 75 and trying some endgame that way... Red Mage was so not fun.

I HAVE A JOB! That's bad.. I wont have as much FFXI time now. /sadtaru

Campaign

Today's NM will be put on hold for me to tell you about the rape on a what used to be fun aspect of FFXI, Campaign. First item on our list; Campaign Ops. You used to be able to get a nice chunk of exp and AN from these. Since the update the rewards have been cut in half.. HALF. Even the truly hard Ops aren't worth it because the reward does not even come close to justifying the trouble gone through. Next item; Fortifications. Ever since boosting the defense on Fortifications the past has been lost. Spells that used to do 200 damage to them now hardly do 49. As of this moment the Beastmen own 15 zones.. Sandoria 2 Windurst 1 and Bastok.. poor Bastok has none and its capitol is being attacked constantly. I understand they wanted to make it more difficult since it was pretty easy before... but this is impossible. People have stopped campaigning altogether. I havent given up because I want some items really bad but I have seen a noticable drop in Player participatio. I'm typing this while double-weakened in Sauromugue Champaign [S] and I have Aegis Scream up so I have to stick around for a few fights and the number of people here is rediculously low. I DID see a lot of people in Bastok trying to keep it safe (as I was since it IS my country in the future). Now, SE has maintenance and an update prepared for tomorrow and I hope to God that they fix this. I loved campaign and I want to love it again!

Fomor Prodigy

Fomor Hume Child spawned by trading 2 Imp Horns and a Flower to a ??? Caedarva Mire
Daughter of an Ephramadian soldier beastmaster. She had the uncanny ability to charm Imps. Her name was Brujakoumei.
Fomor herself is only level 60 but spawns 2 level 85 Charmed Imps.
One Imp spams Tanatras and the other spams Tier III nukegas.
She cannot be harmed until the Imps are defeated.
Attacks with chakram and has typical Fomor abilities. When an Imp is killed she will attempt to charm members of the attacking party, with both Imps down she will attempt to charm two members.

Bulldyke Barbara

Today's monster is notorious indeed. Bulldyke Barbara is a gender confused Galka found in Bostaunieux Oubliette. She is a low level NM, but you should never try to engage this monster as she has some of the most grotesque attacks in the game such as 'Devour' (not your ordinary Devour.. she will actually EAT YOU) and 'Loaf About' which is a particularly annoying attack where BdB just sits there doing nothing and no matter what you do you cannot get her to move. Also, if you have any food in your inventory she will steal all of it upon engaging. Lastly this bitch just will not die, no matter how much you want her to. It's said that if you do manage to defeat her you receive a Key Item 'Nosering' which you can trade to the Canadian PM for an award for services to the country. END! -Dustyn P.S. Gangrene Gustav

So, from a practical joke to a brilliant idea, Miss Nialyse has created the fake NM revolution. The first of what i hope is many is Gangrene Gustav!

Gangrene Gustav is a crab on the boat to Al Zahbi. When engaged he spawns 2 Gugru Crabs and witll chainspell bind you immediately. He drops these really spiffy claws called "Gustav's Claws" taht are for 50 MNK and have the additional effect : sickness.

Right now.. at this moment sh's still trying to cary the joke on further. The wiki pages made for Gangrene and his claws are already up for deletion. It was fun while it lasted! I promise there will be more.. toying with the FFXI crowd is actually really fun... -Dustyn

Catsup / Ketchup.. (Catch Up)

SO, a lot has happened since last we spoke, minions. My Red Mage HAS finally hit 75, and I've already meritted Elemental Magic, MP, Paralyze II, and some magic accuracy(s). ALSO I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to thank Kitti (SO MUCH) for getting my Moldavite Earring and Shaman's Cloak, which really put my BLM back in motion (in fact, ive solo'd it from 55-60 since last post). I've gotten my first Emblem in campaign, getting the Cobra Gloves I've been after. I finally got enough fame in all cities to get my tuning forks for all avatars. Plans for the future are still a bit hazy. I don't REALLY want to level BLM much further w/o getting the rest of the HQ elemental staves (2/8) but I'm having a lot of fun with it and in 1 level I get full exp in campaign.. so thats more motivation. I SHOULD be putting more merits on INT and Elemental Magic with RDM, but like I said, I'm just having so much fun finally being back on BLM. I also need to delve further into getting my Relic Staff... and level my staff skill. *sigh* It's so nice to finally be back on track and have a plan, you know, not just logging on to: "Well... what do i do now?" Genkai 5

After 6 attempts and 6 failures at breaking my level 70 cap, I have finally KICKED MAATS ASS. That right folks, the plan is back in motion to pre-perfect my BLM with RDMs merits. I wanna thank Monty, Caedia, Vesper, Vixhunter, DB, and Kawynn (and pretty much the rest of the LS) for helping me get my Testimonials.
